Summary:
Production/Completion of final and sub-assemblies for internal/external customers on a timely basis maximizing quality and efficiency.
Assembler Responsibilities, Duties, Functions and Tasks:
Use process equipment, fixtures, measuring equipment, and hand tools to organize, prepare, and assemble individual components, sub-assemblies, and finished product Inspect and pack both sub-assemblies and completed assemblies with close supervision Maintain required work efficiency and productivity on assigned work station/assembly position Monitor daily quality of assemblies and communicate any discrepancies Participate in quality assurance teams and problem solving to continually improve the quality of assemblies and processes Operate the production floor ERP to input Work Order tracking data Other job duties as assigned by supervisor Assembler Position Requirements:
Education High school degree or equivalent Math for manufacturing and blueprint reading for manufacturing certificate(s), or equivalent classes, preferred Experience/Skills 3-6 months experience in manufacturing assembly operations or industrial panel building preferred Ability to efficiently perform basic assembly from detailed instructions Requires the ability to add and subtract decimals or fractions and work from operation layouts and written instructions Ability to perform a sequence of operations under minimum supervision and consistently maintain the performance levels set for quality and quantity Ability to work through daily operational activities Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Ability to plan effectively and execute the plans Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills Physical demands Must be able to sit and work at a desk the majority of the day and other physical demands customary to a typical office environment.
When working on the production floor, must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
and stand for the whole day, except for breaks.
Must be able to operate assembly tools as required for the position.
